BSE-Sofia Hits Second Highest Monthly Turnover
Turnover on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange registered its second-highest value in the institution’s history in May after reaching 704.597 mln leva in December 2006.
BSE-Sofia’s monthly bulleting shows that the third and fourth highest turnover were reached in February and January 2007 – 495.848 and 476.350 mln leva respectively, while in May 2006 turnover hit 391.079 mln leva.
A total of 25,997 transactions were made on BSE last month involving more than 90.937 mln lots.
The companies with the highest liquidity last month were Chimimport (1,731 transactions), Synergon Holding (1,144 transactions), Monbat (1,076 transactions), as well as Doverie United Holding and Bulgarian Holding Company with 827 and 806 transactions respectively.
Some 47.48% (316.032 mln leva) of the total turnover came from the “Unofficial Market of Shares Segment A”, while some transactions worth 267.02 mln leva and 49.061 mln leva representing 40.12% and 7.74% respectively were made on the Official Market of Shares Segment B.
