NSI Measures Inflation Since Start of Year At 8 Per Cent

Monthly inflation in November was 1.6 per cent, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said, while nflation in January-November was 8 per cent year-on-year. November year-on-year inflation was 12.6 per cent.
Compared to October, in November foods and beverages appreciated by 2.4 per cent, apparel and footwear, 1.6 per cent, transport, 3.7 per cent, restaurant and hotel services, 2.5 per cent.
The greatest was the increase of fresh and frozen vegetables, which grew by 17.5 per cent compared to October, of flour, 10.3 per cent, cooking oil, 6.4 per cent, pasta, 5.4 per cent.
Lentils, beans, and also mineral water and soft drinks appreciated by 4.5 per cent. Rice, confectionery products, sausages, olives and other foods increased between 1 per cent and 2 per cent. Meat, cooked sausages, fish, milk, yogurt and alcoholic beverages increased by less than 1 per cent.
The greatest was the decrease in the price of cabbage, 14.9 per cent, mushrooms, 5.4 per cent, eggs and apples, between 1 per cent and 2 per cent, cheese and potatoes, less than 1 per cent.
Fuels for household purposes increased by 6.5 per cent since October. Diesel appreciated by 6.4 per cent, propane butane, 5.7 per cent, petrol A95H, 5.6 per cent, petrol A98H, 4.1 per cent.
Water supply services, home repair and maintenance costs, furniture and public transport increased by less than 1 per cent.
The price of fridges and deep-freezes edged down by 0.5 per cent, of TV sets, 1.2 per cent, leisure time and sports services, 1.4 per cent.
Medical and dental services appreciated by 1.6 per cent and 0.2 per cent respectively, while medicines depreciated by 0.1 per cent.
