Brokers: Last Week's Optimism on BSE to Continue This Week

As usual Profit.bg asked on Monday three market experts to share their expectations about the trade on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) this week. Here is what they had to say:
Borislav Popov, broker, Beta Corp
The active trade on the part of some of the market participants in the end of last week helped the indexes rebound from their critical lows giving them a breather. We will see this week, if this trend will continue.
I expect an interesting week with a highly volatile trade but a buyers' market after all. The buyers' market, of course, will hold value only for certain companies with good or expected good first quarter results.
This will allow the indexes to advance to higher levels compared to last week's end, but not surprisingly high.
Borislav Nikov, member of the board of directors, Status Invest
I expect the bullish sentiments of the last week's end to continue to a certain extent this week. It seems the time for the Bulgarian capital market to move up has come after many of the foreign markets have been advancing over the last month.
Apparently the international situation is improving and it seems as all the bad things have already taken their toll on stock prices. The first quarter reports published so far cleared the situation around the Bulgarian companies to a great extent and did not come as a surprise, especially for investors.
Of course, some of the reports failed to deliver and other exceeded the anticipated results but it seems as many investors expected worse performance by the companies. The trading volumes are likely to go up next week following the drop in the turnover after the holidays. The strong interest recorded in the recent days will also contribute to a more active trade.
Genco Genchev, executive director, Zagora Finacorp
I expect a range trade this week close to the 3-percent mark that some of the most liquid companies may even break. I believe that the trading volumes will remain unchanged.
