Advancers Exceeded Decliners on BSE Today

The positive spark early in the first session of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange for the week continued until its end. Three of BSE's four indexes ended the day with gains. The SOFIX blue-chip index advanced by 1.9% to 1,184.04 points. The broader BG40 index closed 1.14% higher at 323.69 points, while the BG TR30 index of best performers in total return gained 1.13% to 800.53.
The BG REIT index of real estate investment trusts ended the day 1% lower at 94.03 points.
Despite the positive news on the capital market, BSE's turnover remained relatively low at 3.86 mln leva. A total of 129 stocks were traded today. The number of advancers stood at 74, accounting for 57% of the traded companies. Advancing stocks exceeded for the first time today decliners in the last few sessions. The value of the block deals and other registered trades stood at 890,000 leva.
A total of four of SOFIX's constituents ended the day with losses, while the number of advancers stood at 14. M+S Hydraulic was the only stock included in the calculation of the SOFIX that was not traded today remaining unchanged at 9.37 leva per share. Decliners today included Corporate Commercial Bank (-0.85% to 83.18 leva per share), Elana Agricultural Land Opportunity Fund REIT (-2.26% to 2.16 leva per share), Sparky Eltos (-1.77% to 12.73 leva per share) and Kaolin, which ended the day 0.35% lower at an average of 11.3 leva per share.
A total of 29,261 shares in Chimimport traded hands today. The stock appreciated by 4.86% to an average of 9.92 leva per share. Deals were also sealed at a price of 10.2 leva per share.
Lead & Zinc Complex's stock price went up by 3.52% to an average of 42.92 leva per share after 914 shares in the company were traded today.
Monbat (+2.9% to 25.9 leva per share), Meochim (+2.55% to 70.51 leva per share) and CCB (+2.47% to 4.98 leva per share) were the stocks to gain over 2% on the day.
Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT was the most traded stock today. A total of 158,820 shares in the company changed hands on the day. The stock depreciated by 2.34% to an average of 1.67 leva per share.
Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria (67,820 shares) and Eurohold Bulgaria (45,222 shares) ranked second and third, respectively in terms of trading volume. Zarneni Hrani's stock appreciated by 6.82% to an average of 2.35 leva per share. Eurohold closed 0.96% higher at an average of 8.42 leva per share.
Chimimport (196 deals), Eurohold Bulgaria (165 deals) and Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria (136 deals) were the three most liquid stocks today. Dobrudzha Holding was also actively traded on the day. A total of 11,272 shares in the company changed hands in 99 transactions. The stock of the holding company appreciated by 29.69% to an average of 8.43 leva per share on the news for the distribution of 7.2 leva dividend per share.
Enemona and Lomsko Pivo also ended the day on positive territory. Enemona's stock appreciated by 0.9% to an average of 19.13 leva per share. Lomsko Pivo advanced by 4.06% to an average of 3.33 leva per share.
