The Kremikovtzi metal works may become a modern plant, if an investment of 600 million leva is made in it, Lyudmil Pavlov, Chairman of the Metallurgy Federation with the Podkrepa Labour Confederation, told a news conference on Tuesday.

The trade unions' efforts are oriented towards keeping the number of jobs, meeting the ecological requirements and finding a good buyer of the company, Pavlov stated.

He announced that by the month's end the workers will receive their salaries for May and June as well as the food vouchers for January.
