Romania 2nd in EU in May Industrial Orders Growth - Eurostat
Romania ranks second among European Union states in industrial orders growth in May, with an annual rise of 20.2%, Business Stadard daily reported quoting data from the European Statistics Bureau, Eurostat.
Denmark ranked first, with a 24.6% growth, while Romania is followed by Lithuania, which registered a 17.8% rise in industrial orders in May.
The highest declines were registered by Hungary, with 11.4% drop in May industrial orders, France, with 8.9%, and the Netherlands with 7.5%.
Industrial orders in Romania rose 7% month-on-month in May. In Denmark monthly rice was 14.8%, while Ireland registered a 9.7% monthly growth in industrial orders.
In contrast, industrial orders in Latvia fell by a monthly 14.2% in May, in Hungary by 7.5%, in Slovakia by 6.6% and in Italy by 6.4%.
In May, industrial orders in EU fell by 2.8% on the year and by 4.7% on the month. In the euro area, industrial orders decreased by 4.4% year-on-year and by 3.5% month-on-month, said Eurostat.
