At the end of June 2008 Neochim Jsc announced profit in the amount of 39.038 million leva (19.95 mln euros) before taxes, which translates into 14.92 leva/share. Last year the company reported H1 profit of 8.089 mln leva (4.135 mln euros).

Net sales revenues are up 40.27% to 180.5 mln leva (92.2 mln euros). Production sales on the home market stood at 82.7 mln leva (42.28 mln euros), and at 95.3 mln leva (48.7 mln euros) on the foreign markets.

Ammonium nitrate and ammonia account for the majority of sales revenues, respectively 143.9 mln leva and 21.5 mln leva.

Costs on economic elements reach 140 mln leva (71.5 mln euros), compared with 119.9 mln leva for the preceding period. Costs on raw materials account for 117.8 mln of total costs. The company spent a little over 96 mln leva on natural gas and 7.77 mln leva on other fuels and gas.

Costs on external services and payroll also increased in H1.

As at June 30 assets stood at 158.7 mln leva (81.14 mln euros) compared with 137.2 mln leva (70 mln euros) a year ago.

Main shareholders are Eco Tech and Euro Fert Jsc with 27.42% and 23.82%, while Karifert International (Lebanon) and Agrofer International Establishment (Lichtenstein) have 17.16% and 7.68%, respectively.

The company has bought back 1.43% of the total shares. 1,689 shares have traded hands at prices between 66.10 leva and 74 leva so far today. Bids are currently at 73.10 leva and asks at 73.88 leva.
