The total trading turnover of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to 14.64 mln leva in the period August 18-22, Profit.bg data show.

The daily turnover exceeded 3 mln leva in three of this week’s sessions reaching 3.98 mln leva on Tuesday. The daily turnover came to 3.49 mln leva and 3.31 mln leva on Thursday and Wednesday, respectively.

The turnover failed to reach 2 mln leva (1.98 mln leva and 1.86 mln leva) on Monday and Friday, respectively.

The stocks listed on Segment A of BSE’s Unofficial Market recorded the biggest volume this week (4.86 mln leva), followed by the stocks listed on Segment B of the Unofficial Market, as well as the REITs with a turnover of 3.64 mln leva and 3.4 mln leva, respectively.

The volume of the transactions in compensatory instruments totaled nearly 1.4 mln leva over the week.

The low daily turnover this week resulted in a decline in the number of orders and transactions through the COBOS platform. The total number of deals sealed through the COBOS amount to 232,000 leva this year, while the number of orders stands at 837,000.

The SOFIX blue-chip index slipped by 1.19% to 1,025.54 points this week, while the broader BG40 shed 2.2% to 252.34 points. The SOFIX has advanced by 1.28% this month, while the BG40 has added 1.06%.
