Starter battery maker Monbat booked 12.043 mln leva net sales revenue in July 2008, up 15.54% year on year.

The company posted 105.53 mln leva net sales revenue for the first seven months of the year, which represents an increase of 71.83% compared to the corresponding period of 2007.

Monbat's profit amounts to 2.464 mln leva in July, up 89.68 % year on year.

The profit of the company for the first seven months of the year stands at 17.8 mln leva, which is an increase of 119.19% compared to the year-ago period.

Monbat expects 8.7 mln leva pretax profit for the third quarter of 2008 alone. The company forecasts 136.98 mln leva net sales revenue and 24.04 mln leva pretax profit for the first nine months of the year.

A total of 17,000 shares in the company changed hands on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) today at prices ranging between 11.43 and 11.60 leva apiece.
