Devin AD opened officially its modernized factory in the city of Devin. The company successfully finalized its investment program for 2008, installing and running the latest production machines from leading European producers in its factory.

The investments that Devin AD made in new production lines cost some 17 mln. BGN and turn the factory into one of the most modern factories for bottling water in the Southeast Europe.

The company has installed 7 new production lines – the latest equipment available, brought by the leading European producers such as KOSME, KRONES, GAS and BARDI. The effect results in increasing the production capacity to some 44 500 bottles per hour, as well as improving the efficiency of production, and exceeding a total annual capacity of 300 000 000 bottles.

By modernizing its factory, DEVIN AD changed all of its product packages of the mineral and spring water and for the very last time made innovations of the market, launching the one-of-its-kind Bulgarian flavored water Devin Fresh.

Devin AD was established in 1992 as a limited liability company owned by local persons and Devin Municipality. Since 1999, the company has been functioning as a joint stock company with 100% private capital. The main subject of the company's activity is bottling and sale of bottled mineral water, spring water and carbonated and non-carbonated soft drinks. In 2006 the Austrian Soravia Group acquires 100% of Devin’s capital.

For the period of 2007/2008 Devin’s sales have grown up with 10%, as for previous periods it marks an annual growth of 24% for 2006/2007 and 37% for 2004/2005.

In 2007 Devin AD becomes a public company, listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange – Sofia. The company’s capital is spread between Soravia Group (75%), DEVIN’s management (7%) and the Stock Exchange (18%). The company employs a total of 380 people, more of 300 of which are involved in its factory.
