Red Monday on BSE

The steep decline in the value of the assets traded on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) continued this week. The SOFIX and the BG40 indexes posted their second biggest weekly declines in 2008.
The losses widened today as the SOFIX blue-chip index dropped by 7.68% to 361.41 points. The BG40 index of the most traded stocks shed 7.94% to 108.09 points. The BG REIT and BG TR30 indexes lost 3.45% and 6.77% to 50.64 and 281.32 points, respectively.
Foreign investors were the main sellers today, brokers told Profit.bg.
The value of the deals sealed on BSE today amounted to 34.66 mln leva. Trading on the position of Petrol accounted for the bulk of the figure. A total of 2.7 mln shares in Petrol changed hands on the day at a price of 9.1 leva per share. The turnover on the position came to 24.56 mln leva. Bonds for 6.86 mln leva were also traded on the day.
A total of 109 issues were traded today, while only 19 of the company posted stock price gains.
Advancing stocks on BSE's Official market today included Lead & Zinc Complex (+9.45%, to 7.99 leva per share), Bulgarska Roza - Sevtopolis (+8.93%, to 0.72 leva per share), Holding Varna (+43.3%, to 12.18 leva per share).
Central Cooperative Bank's stock price dripped to under 1 lev per share for the first time in four years. The stock depreciated by 25.44%, to 0.8 leva per share. A total of 1.21 mln shares in the bank traded hands on the day.
The other banks also ended today's session in negative territory - First Investment Bank (-8.36%, to 2.85 leva per share). Corporate Commercial Bank (-2.2%, to 66.5 leva per share) and Bulgarian American Credit Bank (-4.61%, to 15.5 leva per share)
Chimimport's stock price slumped by 11.48%, to 1.97 leva per share on the day. Industrial Holding Bulgaria shed 10.28% to 1.95 leva per share.
Some of today's other decliners included Orgachim (-19.52%, to 65 leva per share) and Monbat (-8.1%, to 4.9 leva per share). The company announced last week the completion of a share buyback procedure.
Sopharma's stock depreciated by 4.09%, to 2.01 leva per share, while Doverie United Holding ended the day 1.42% lower at 7.7 leva per share.
Enemona slipped by 10.05% to 5.4 leva per share, while the traded volume on the position came to 24 408 shares.
Infrastructure companies posted double-digit stock price declines today. Moststroy's stock slumped by 19.6%, to 4.02 leva per share, while Holding Roads depreciated by 13.73% to 2.89 leva per share. Trace Group Hold shed 13.77% to 32.51 leva per share.
Neochim's stock lost further 8.34% of its stock price value closing the day at 32.54 leva per share.
Web Media Group stock appreciated by 13.7% to 3.07 leva per share. A total of 34 483 shares in the company changed hands in a single transaction today. The overall traded volume on the position came to 39 100 shares.
Lomsko Pivo advanced by 8.75% to 1.74 leva per share. A total of 10 380 shares in the company changed hands on the day.
M+S Hydraulic's stock appreciated by 7.35% to 4.95 leva per share.
