Bulgaria's National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) booked 9.9 mln leva revenue in November, down 10% month on month, when the company generated 10.9 mln leva revenue. At the same time NRIC's monthly remuneration costs amount to 14.3 mln leva, the company told Profit.bg.
The overdue wages at the company may be put down to the global financial crisis, which had a negative impact on the railways. This resultet in a considerable decline in the transported cargo, which in turn shrank drastically NRIC's revenue from infrastructure fees.
NRIC has already started paying its employess the overdue wages. The management of the company pledged that the October wages will be paid by December 10.
We express our regrets for the delay, which the company could not avoid, but we guarantee that the salaries will be paid to all our employees, general director Anton Ginev said.
