The SOFIX blue-chip index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) posted its fifth straight gain today. The index advanced by 374.67 points, or 1.07%, on the day. The broader BG40 index gained 2.86%, to 110.36 points. The BG TR30 index of best performers in total return closed 0.81% higher at 284.19 points. BG REIT slipped by 0.02%, to 46.73 points.

BSE's overall turnover totaled 3.1 mln leva, while the value of the over-the-counter deals exceeded 647,000 as at 2:00 p.m. A total of 84 issues were traded on the day, with 44 of the companies posting stock price gains.

Chimimport posted the biggest traded volume on the day. A total of 155,342 shares in the company changed hands. The last deal was sealed at a price of 2.27 leva per share, or 1.38% higher compared to the opening price.

The second highest volume on the day was recorded on the position of Devin AD. A total of 150,144 shares in the company traded hands mostly in three deals. The stock appreciated by 2.48% to 2.07 leva per share.

The traded volume on the position of Kaolin remains high. A total of 87,090 shares in the company changed hands today. The stock appreciated by 2.4%, to 3.64 leva per share. More than 80,000 shares were transferred in three transactions at the lowest price of 3.46 leva per share for the day. The company announced plans to lay off 10% of its employees.

Billboard's stock price went down by 0.97%, to 2.96 leva per share. The traded volume on the position came to 11,442 shares.

Most holding companies traded on Segment A of BSE's Official market posted stock price declines on the day. Industrial Holding Bulgaria lost 5.88%, to 1.6 leva per share, Albena Invest Holding's stock depreciated by 0.75%, to 3.97 leva per share, while Synergon Holding skidded 1.82% lower, to 2.1 leva per share. Stara Planina Hold was the only advancer on the day. The stock of the company appreciated by 2.63%, to 1.95 leva per share.

Other advancers today included Central Cooperative Bank (+3.39%, to 1.19 leva per share), First Investment Bank (+0.71%, to 2.85 leva per share) and Bulgarian-American Credit Bank (5.18%, to 13.2 leva per share). Corporate Commercial Bank's stock price went down by 0.31%, to 65.1 leva per share.

Infrastructure companies ended today's session in positive territory. Holding Roads advanced by 0.33% to 3.39 leva per share. Moststroy gained 12.22%, to 3.95 leva per share, while Trace Group Hold closed the session 1.52% higher at 40 leva per share.

Etropal's stock appreciated by 3.41%, to 3 leva per share, following the news on the sale of the company. The traded volume on the position came to 1,555 shares.
