Higher Number of Bulgarians Travel Abroad
&format=webp)
Touroperator companies report a higher interest among Bulgarians in spending the New Year holidays in Greece, Turkey or Macedonia.
The preferred destinations include Istanbul, Kusadasi and Ohrid.
There has been a drop in the number of trips to remote and exotic destinations, such as Egypt, Thailand and Cuba, which, previously, enjoyed high interest. The touroperators attribute this to the economic crisis.
It was the lower prices of offers for a New Year holiday that attracted Bulgarians to the neighbouring countries.
