The number of (Dacia) Logan and Sandero cars sold in France reached 43,567 units, compared with 32,000 units in 2007.
If an average price of 10,000 euros is considered per vehicle sold, the value of sales in France exceeded 435 million euros. The car most in demand on the French market is the diesel-powered Logan MCV.
Dacia's results on the French market come at a time when the overall market saw a 0.6% decline against the previous year, to 2.51 million units, according to statistics of the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA).
France is Dacia's leading export market, and makes up 19% of the overall vehicle output of the Mioveni-based plant in 2008, which amounts to around 228,000 units. Germany and Ukraine are second and third-largest export markets for Dacia in terms of sales. Sales in France accounted for over 50% of those recorded in Romania.
