The SOFIX blue-chip index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) ended today's session 3.07% down at 297.98 points, which is its lowest level in five and a half years, or 66 months.

The broader BG40 index slipped by 1.27%, to 94.70 points and is only 3% away of its all-time low of 92.01 points.

Industrial Holding Bulgaria was the most actively traded company on the day. A total of 1.176 mln shares in the company traded hands in today's session at prices ranging between 1.17 and 1.25 leva per share. More than 500,000 shares in CBA Asset Management were transferred today at a price of 1.10 leva apiece, which represents a 43.59-percent decline.

The traded volume on the position of Chimimport amounted to 95,000 shares, which changed hands at price ranging between 1.50 and 1.70 leva apiece, which is an all-time low for the stock. The company announced on Friday that it would hold a general shareholders' meeting where the shareholders will put to vote a proposal for the issuing of preferred shares with a guaranteed and/or additional dividend.

Changes, allowing the company to raise its capital to 250 mln leva in the next five years, will also be discussed.

Banking stocks' decline continued today. Central Cooperative Bank and First Investment Bank slipped by 1.10% and 2.35%, to 0.90 and 1.37 leva per share, respectively. The stock price of Corporate Commercial Bank remained unchanged after more than 13,000 shares traded.

The trading volume exceeded 10,000 shares on the positions of Zaharni Zavodi (-18.92%, to 1.70 leva per share), Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria (-4.52%, to 0.59 leva), Eurohold Bulgaria (-4.69%, to 1.02 leva per share) and Euroins (unchanged at 2.05 leva).

М+S Hydraulic and Etropal were among today's gainers advancing by 9.45% and 9.97%, to 3.94 and 2.32 leva per share, respectively.

BSE's overall turnover came to 3.7 mln leva in the first day of the week.
