Bulgarian Transport Minister Peter Mutafchiev started a three-day working visit to Germany on Monday at the invitation of the Minister of Civil Engineering and Transport of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia Oliver Wittke, the Bulgarian Transport Ministry said.

Mutafchiev will attend a joint conference of the Bulgarian Transport Ministry and the Ministry of Civil Engineering and Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia, entitled: "Logistics and Intermodal Transport."

The purpose of the conference is exchange of expertise and cooperation with German companies in the field of intermodal transport and logistics. It allows the two countries to discuss and direct their interests towards effective joint logistical activity.

The forum will be attended by representatives of specialized unions and companies of the two countries working in this field, the German-Bulgarian Association of Industry and Commerce, the Association of Logistical Enterprises in Germany, the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs, the Ministry of Civil Engineering and Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia, and Members of the Bundestag and the State Parliament.
