The SOFIX blue-chip index posted its first gain in four sessions. The index recovered 1.35% of its value to end the today's session at 276.81 points. Despite the positive start to the session the broader BG40 shed nearly 1% closing at a new all-time low of 89.22 points.

BG REIT and BG TR30 advanced by 3.42% and 0.55%, to 41.4 and 195.16 points, respectively.

BSE's overall turnover came to 2.38 mln leva, while the value of the over-the-counter deals totaled 1.51 mln leva as at 2:25 p.m. A total of 83 issues were traded on the day with 34 of the stocks posting gains.

Euroins' stock appreciated by 9.38%, to 1.75 leva per share. The traded volume on the position came to 5,588 shares.

A total of 12 232 shares in Monbat changed hands on the day. The starter battery maker ended the day higher advancing by 5.1%, to 4.31 leva per share. The company announced it had purchased back a total of 54,660 of its shaes in January at an average price of 4.55 leva per share. Thus the total number of the shares owned by the company stood at 521,382 as at January 31, or 1.34% of its capital.

Lead & Zinc Complex advanced by 3.94%, to 5.28 leva per share, while Chimiport gained 3.67%, to 1.3 leva per share.

Albena's stock price went up by 11.11%, to 20 leva per share after only 30 shares traded.

Banking stocks ended the day mixed. Gainers included Fierst Investment Bank (+0.89%, to 1.13 leva) and Bulgarian-American Credit bank (+3.45%, to 8.69 leva). Central Cooperative Bank shed nearly 3% to 0.83 leva per share. Corporate Commercial Bank slipped by 0.68%, to 73 leva.

Elana Agricultural Land Opportunity Fund added 13.33% to 0.68 leva per share on the day.

Industrial Holding Bulgaria's stock price remained unchanged at 1.11 leva per share. A total of 2,300 shares in the company changed hands today.

Sopharma edged 0.05% up to 2.04 leva per share. A total of 18,934 shares in the pharmaceutical company were transferred today.

Some of today's decliners included Neochim (-4.27%, to 28 leva), Holding Roads (-3.22%, to 1.53 leva), Toplivo (-4.74%, to 4 leva), Sparky Eltos (-0.22%, to 1.38 leva), Kaolin (-1.36%, to 2.17 leva) and Enemona (-0.76%, to 6.55 leva).

No deals were sealed in M+S Hydraulic and Orgachim.

Stara Planina Hold skidded 0.27% lower today, to 1.1 leva per share. The traded volume on the position came to 8,335 shares. The company launched today the third procedure on the repurchasing of up to 105,000 own shares. The stock will be purchased at prices between 1.1 and 1.25 leva per share.

Synergon Holding posted one of the biggest gains on the day. The stock appreciated by 10%, to 1.38 leva per share. The traded volume was low at 653 shares.

Other gainers included Elhim Iskra (+8.49%, to 1.15 leva) and EMKA (+4.35%, to 1.2 leva).
