"We can hardly expect a change in investors' sentiment in today's session of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE). I expect the settling of the U.S. Markets to have a positive effect on BSE as well and the trade to remain in range", Plamen Yordanov, investment consultant at Somoni Financial Brokerage, told Profit.bg.

„The apathy of the buyers is obvious but its seems lately that there are not many shares left to sell", Yordanov added. „Many stocks are currently traded at prices close to their par values without a fundamental reason".

The market unfortunately is close to its freezing point and the „flame", that could bring BSE back to life is nowhere to be seen, according to Yordanov.

„Trading volumes will likely remain low today and the few liquid stocks а will be more actively traded. KTB, which continues to uphold SOFIX and remains one of the few stable company, may post a stock price increase today", the consultant added

SOFIX was the only index to post a gain on BSE yesterday advancing by 0.25%, to 264.51 points.

The broader BG40 slipped by 0.80%, to an all-time low of 87.69 points. BGREIT and BGTR30 shed 0.82% and 0.74%, to 39.77 and 188.07 points, respectively.

BSE's overall turnover came to 748 654 leva, while the market capitalization amounts to 9.95 bln leva. A total 94 issues were traded yesterday with 23 of the companies posting stock price gains.
