Bulgaria undertook to finance three projects in Macedonia under agreements signed at the Bulgarian Embassy in Skopje on Monday.
The money will go towards rebuilding the infrastructure of a sports and recreation centre in Kocani municipality, building a school tennis court in Bitola, and setting up a veterinary laboratory at a school in Prilep.
The agreements were signed by Angel Angelov, Charge d'Affaires at the Bulgarian Embassy, and representatives of the three Macedonian beneficiaries.
The projects will be financed under a programme for development aid in 2009 as part of Bulgaria's commitments as an EU country to support the six countries which are a priority for it: Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo, Moldova, Georgia and Armenia.
The projects are worth a total of 54,000 euro and are expected to be completed by the year's end. The Bulgarian government approved their financing in March.
