Bulgarian Investors' Nerves Break on Friday

The positive sentiment on the Bulgarian capital market from January continued this month and in two days the SOFIX index posted declines of over 3%. The entire situation culminated on Friday.
Similarly to the previous days the positive market sentiment prevailed early today. The SOFIX was up by more than 2%, to touch a 12-month high. Buyers could not hold their ground and most of the indexes ended the day lower: SOFIX (-2.15%, to 424.40 points), BG 40 (-1.52%, to 128.41 points) and BG TR30 (-2.10%, to 348.08 points). BG REIT was the only gainer on the day advancing by 0.36%, to 47.42 points.
BSE's overall turnover came to 2.87 mln leva. A total of 84 issues were traded on the day with 27 of the stocks posting price gains.
The indexes, however, posted weekly advances: SOFIX (+5.22%), BG 40 (+2.54%), BG REIT (+2.4%) and BG TR30 (+3.08%).
As a result of its strong performance in January and in the first four days of this week SOFIX was the biggest gaining index in the world since the start of the year advancing by 19.7% until Thursday.
BSE indexes' performance since the start of the year is as follows SOFIX (+17.12%), BG 40 (+11.95%), BG REIT (+9.39%) and BG TR30 (+14.68%).
