SOFIX Posts First Weekly Gain in 2010
The indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) ended the first week of the new year mixed. The SOFIX blue-chip index posted a gain for the second straight day advancing by 0.51% to 430.85 points.
BGREIT closed 0.78% up at 48.03 points. Decliners on the day included BG 40 (-1.01%, to 116.28 points) and BG TR30 (-0.04%, to 332.39 points).
BSE's overall turnover came to 999,472 leva. A total of 54 issues were traded on the day with 27 of the stock posting price gains.
The weekly performance of the indexes was also mixed: SOFIX (+0.84%), BG 40 (-0.75%), BG REIT (+0.04%) and BG TR30 (-0.73%).
A total of 21 of the companies included in the caclucation of the BG40 index posted weekly price gains.
The best performers included Technology and Innovation Corporation Saedinenie (+11.76%, to an average of 0.19 leva per share), Bulgarska Roza-Sevtopolis (+4.93%, to 1.49 leva) and Bulgarian-American Credit Bank (+4.92%, to 17.93 leva).
The biggest decliners over the week included Synergon Holding (-9.01%, to 2.02 leva), Doverie United Holding (-8.51%, to 3.44 leva) and Moststroy (-7.4%, to 3.38 leva).
