BSE Indexes Post Second Decline This Week
All four indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) ended Tuesday's session in negative territory with three of the indexes dropping by more than 2%.
The SOFIX blue-chip index was the biggest decliner on the day losing 2.38% of its value to 440.43 points. The broader BG40 shed 1.02% to 119.83 points.
BGREIT and BGTR30 lost 2.21% and 2.07% of their value to 47.35 points and 336.85 points, respectively.
BSE's overall turnover remained low at 844,724 leva. The value of the over-the-counter trades amounted to nearly 26,000 leva as at 2.30 p.m.
Stara Planina Hold shed 3.85% on the day closing at 1.75 leva per share. Synergon Holding lost 4.35%, to 2.20 leva per share.
Petrol was the biggest decliners on BSE's Official market on the day. The stock of the company depreciated by 17.12% to 4.09 leva per share. The traded volume on the position came to just 400 shares.
With one exception banking stocks ended today's session lower. The decliners were as follows: Central Cooperative Bank (-3.64%, to 1.43 leva), First Investment Bank (-2.70%, to 2.70 leva) and Bulgarian-American Credit Bank (-0.86%, to 17.30 leva). Corporate Commercial Bank was the only gainer on the day advancing by 2.13% to 60.00 leva per share.
Monbat shed nearly 4% closing at 6.72 leva per share, while another blue chip Sparky Eltos lost 7.50%, to 1.85 leva per share.
Infrastructure companies also posted considerable declines on the day. Holding Roads and Moststroy shed 6.24% and 6.98%, to 2.57 leva and 4.00 leva per share, respectively. Trace Group Hold's stock price went down by 4.04%, to 70.05 leva per share.
