The consolidated profit of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Profit shrunk 16% from 132.316 mln leva in 2006 to 111.610 mln leva (57.06 mln euros) last year, the telco's report filed with the BSE reveals.

Revenues stand at 1.043 bln leva (533.277 mln euros), versus 1.015 bln leva in 2006. The slight advance is due to a hike in net sales revenues from 1.009 bln to 1.032 bln leva.

Revenues from services came to 1.012 bln leva (517.42 mln euros), which 2% up from the previous year. Other revenues almost doubled from 8.658 mln to 16.816 mln leva (8.59 mln euros) in 2007.

Financial revenues are also on the rise and especially those from positive results from operations with financial instruments – from 1.819 mln to 6.806 mln leva (3.47 mln euros).

Costs stood at 923.493 mln leva (467.06 mln euros) against 867.107 mln in 2006. The hike is mainly attributed to rising costs on economic elements, which came to 881.220 mln leva. Financial costs grew from 28.672 mln to 42.273 mln leva.

Assets rose from 1.916 bln to 2.024 bln leva (1.034 bln euros). The telco has a core capital in the amount of 551.901 mln leva (282.182 mln euros) and its own capital is at 1.099 bln leva (561.909 mln euros).

The stock was last traded on BSE on February 22, when almost 11,000 shares changed hands at an average of 8.9 leva.
