The state stakes in Bulgarplod of Peshtera and Hopromags of Vidin offered for sale were privatized during the first day of the 16th remote public auction held on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE). A total of 160 shares, accounting for 32% of the capital of Bulgarplod, were sold for 10,080 leva in a single transaction. The starting price was set at 8,640 leva. The payment will be settled with non-cash items.

A total of 500 shares, making for 100% of the capital of Hopromags, were also transferred in a single deal. Thе value of the transaction amounts to 701,000 leva. The starting price was set at 700,000 leva. The buyer will pay in leva for 200 of the shares, while the remaining 300 shares will be paid for in non-cash items.

Things did not go that well for Ptitsecomplex Varzulitsa, the third company included in the list of the 16th remote public auction. A total of 1,051 shares, accounting for 12.38% of the capital of the company, are offered for privatization. The starting price of the package is set at 16,970 leva.

The auction will continue until March 26, while the deadline for bids below the starting price is set for March 20.
