The shareholders of EMKA AD-Sevlievo decided to increase the company’s capital from 1.792 mln leva to 5.376 mln leva using own funds, BSE-Sofia announced on its website.

The new shares, which are being issued will be distributed between the shareholders proportionately to their stake in the capital prior its increase, thus entitling each shareholder to two of the new shares for free.

The last date for transferring shares of the company on BSE-Sofia, as a result of which the holder will be entitled to exercise their right to take part in the capital increase is 2 June 2007.

The shareholders voted not to distribute dividends for 2006 and to change the company’s activities to “production of enameled coil, profile and insulated cables and conductors.

EMKA AD-Sevlievo posted a pretax profit of 662,000 leva for the first quarter of the year versus 757,000 leva a year ago.

KEMP AD controls 38.73% of EMKA’s capital, Industrial Holding Bulgaria controls 33.42%, and Biser Ivanov has 7.28%.
