Ernst & Young is one of six inaugural members to be inducted into Training magazine’s exclusive Hall of Fame, which recognizes outstanding achievement in the field of workforce training and development. Along with Booz Allen Hamilton, IBM, KLA-Tencor, Pfizer and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Ernst & Young qualified for the honor by being in the Top 10 of Training’s Top 125 companies for five consecutive years.

“Ernst & Young is truly honored to be recognized in this way alongside some of the world’s great training organizations. Our commitment to the development of our people is evidenced by our holistic development framework, called EYU, which is built upon three pillars: learning, on-the-job experience, and coaching,” said Pierre Hurstel, Ernst & Young’s Global Managing Partner, People.

David Sun, co-Area Managing Partner of Ernst & Young’s Far East Area, commented: “This is a prestigious accolade and comes at a time when I am delighted to announce the agreement by our Far East Executive to invest in the development of what we believe will be a market-leading Global Learning Center for Asia.

“We have been recruiting record numbers of talented people to keep pace with the energetic demand for our services from our clients in this fast growing region. The new facility will provide a fixed location to which Ernst & Young people from across Asia and around the world can come to share in enhanced learning and development experiences that will help differentiate us in the market,” added David Sun.

“The opening of our first Global Learning Center in Asia is part of our global development with further centers currently under consideration for Europe and the Americas. Our EYU investment in helping our people grow and succeed at every stage of their careers will further strengthen our global organization,” concluded Pierre Hurstel.
