Three of BSE's Indexes Post Weekly Declines
The short week on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) brought declines for three of the indexes despite the two positive sessions on Wednesday and Friday. The SOFIX blue-chip index shed 3.23% of its value on Thursday dropping again below 500 points.
The indexes ended today's session higher after having spent post of the day in negative territory: SOFIX (+0.28%, to 491.20 points), BG 40 (+0.88%, to 133.70 points), BG REIT (+1.16%, to 48.67 points) and BG TR30 (+0.79%, to 367.94 points).
BSE's overall turnover came close to 10 mln leva. A total of nearly 2 mln shares in Sopharma (1.5% of the capital of the company) traded hands at a price of 4.1 leva per share, or a total of 8.2 mln leva. Sopharma's stock appreciated by 0.46% to 4.17 leva per share.
A total of 89 issues were traded on the day with 38 of the stocks posting price gains.
Three of the indexes posted weekly declines. These are SOFIX (-2.57%), BG 40 (-0.59%) and BG TR30 (-0.98%). BG REIT advanced by (+0.75%).
The performance of the indexes in September is as follows: SOFIX (+6.48%), BG 40 (+4.27%), BG REIT (+10.06%) and BG TR30 (+6.97%).
The indexes are in positive territory since the start of the year: SOFIX (+36.95%), BG 40 (+24.01%), BG REIT (+0.29%) and BG TR30 (+34.87%).
A total of 10 companies included in the calculation of BG40 posted weekly stock price gains. Bulgarska-Roza Sevtopolis was the biggest gainer advancing by 5.00%, to an average of 1.47 leva per share.
Elhim Iskra's average stock price went up by 4.88%, to 2.15 leva per share. Toplivo was the third best performer over the week advancing by 2.59%, to 5.55 leva per share.
