Only 266 M-Tel clients have taken advantage of the mobile number portability service launched a month ago. The number of subscribers of competitive operators, who have ported the numbers in M-Tel's network stands at 418, the company said.

The data comes up to the company’s expectations, which announced in April that it does not count on the new service to increase its client base, nor expects a serious churn.

The statistics up to the moment corresponds to the figures in Europe, where a very small part of the people benefits from the service. “The reason, because of which there is lack of interest towards number portability, is that if a certain client is unsatisfied with the services he receives, he changes the operators, regardless of whether he can change his number or not. In this sense, the clients choose us because of quality, innovations and opportunities, which the M-Tel service portfolio offers”, said M-Tel CEO, Josef Vinatzer.
