A total of 4,934 new vehicles were sold in Bulgaria in November, shows statistics provided by the Bulgarian Union of Automobile Importers.

The number of vehicles sold in the country in the 11 months of the year stands at 45,145 and together with motorcycles, buses and trucks, it grows to 47,996, which is 5,293 above October data.

By comparison, the number of sales in the respective period last year is 38,255, of which 36,357 cars.

The top 10 most popular car brands in the country account for 75% of all vehicle sales. Toyota continues to be number one, followed by Ford, Peugeut and Opel with an 8% market share each. Volkswagen has 9%.

Citroen, Skoda and Dacia have 6%, and Renault and Chevrolet have a little over 5%.

Peugeut and Piaggio are the most popular motorcycles, followed by Yamaha (22%).

Mercedes is the most preferred truck, Iveco ranks second and Man third.
