A real successful broker of a big real estate agency in Romania may gain 300,000 euros yearly from real estate transactions only. The substantial incomes come from the commissions related to each transaction, ACT Media news agency reports.

There are firms that have a different salary policy. They offer a new employee a monthly salary of 300 - 500 euros, while the salary of an experienced consultant may reach 1,700 euros.

The salary level of this category of employees is going up in line with the development of the Romanian real estate market.Elena Iorga, the head of HR department of Esop Consulting, says that although increasingly more people are drawn by this profession due to the substantial gains, many of them realize in time they lack the abilities of a god real estate broker.

The big number of new companies that do real estate business deals in Romania gives the dimension of the boom on this market.

For instance, DTZ Echinox had last year by 30% more real estate agents than in 2005, and Arco Real Estate of Estonia has announced it would employ some 300 people by end-2008. Corina Dumitrescu, the HR director of DTZ Echinox, says the increase in incomes is the result of the rise in real estate prices. At DTZ Echinox, the monthly average income of a broker is 5,000-6,000 euros.
