On November 27, the government leaders of the Central Euroopean Initiative (CEI) are meeting in Sofia to look into the performance of the organization, its cooperation with the EU and the ongoing processes in the region, said the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry Friday.

CEI has invited to its forum representatives of the European Commission and other international and regional organizations and initiatives.

The summit meeting will be prepared at a session of the committee of national coordinators on November 25-26.

The Bulgarian delegation to the forum will be headed by Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev and will include his deputy and Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin.

The participants in the November 27 forum will review the organization's activity during the Bulgarian chairmanship-in-office and the situation in the member states.

They will discuss the results of the Initiative's reform in the light of the optimization of its activity and stepping up regional cooperation. One of the main issues to be discussed is ways to improve cooperation with the EU with a view to better integration of the CEI member states which are not members of the EU.
