The average free float of the companies listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), excluding investments companies, stood at 24.73% as at the end of December 2007, the report of the bourse for 2007 shows.

Companies whose average free float stood at between 10 and 20% accounted for 23.04% of the companies listed on BSE. The public companies with a free float between 20 and 30% made for 17.89% of the listed companies as at the end of 2007. The share of those with a free float ranging between 5 and 10% stood at 14.36 %.

The average free float of special purpose vehicles (SPV) was slightly lower compared to BSE's average and stood at 21.30% as at December 31, 2007. Advance Terrafund REIT, Intercapital Property Development REIT and Aktiv Properties REIT had the highest free float among this type of companies. The free float of 24 of the SPV's listed on BSE stood at 0%.

The average free float of the companies included in the calculation of the BG40 index as at the end of December 2007 stood at 36.34%, exceeding BSE's average. Severcoop Gamza Holding, Favorit Holding, and Doverie United Holding had the highest free floats among BG40's components at the time.

The average free float of the companies included in the calculation of the SOFIX blue chip index as at the end of December 2007 amounted to 27.72%. Industrial Holding Bulgaria, Elana Agricultural Land Opportunity Fund and Orgachim boasted the highest free float among blue chips.

The average free float of the banks listed on BSE stood at 16.55% as at the end of 2007. Bulgarian American Credit Bank had the highest free float, followed by Central Cooperative Bank and Corporate Commercial Bank.
