Twenty Stocks in BG40 End the Week Higher

After a rather negative session on Thursday, Bulgarian indexes closed on positive territory today. SOFIX added 0.76% to 1147.84 points and BG40 gained 1.45% to 333.13 points. BGREIT and BGTR30 also managed to eke gains, of 0.07% and 1% respectively to 93.7 and 783.04 points.
BGTR30 is the only index to climb on a weekly basis (+0.17%). SOFIX loses 1.51% for the week BG40 is down 1.7%, and BGREIT closed 0.19% lower than last Friday.
Daily turnover was relatively high today at 9.27 mln leva (4.7 mln euros). 57 out of the 128 active positions today closed higher. Trade in bonds accounted for some 3.37 mln leva (1.7 mln euros) of the total turnover. The value of block and other reported transactions stood at 1.31 mln leva.
20 stocks in BG40 ended the week with gains. Petrol was the best performer, adding some 17.7% to an average o f8.18 leva apiece. It emerged yesterday that Lukoil will buy Petrol's assets worth 237 mln euros.
The week was also very positive for Aroma. The stock added 8.36% between April 18-25, closing at 3.89 leva today.
Other companies that gained more than 5% for the period are Euroins and BACB. The insurer closed at 7.75 leva last Friday and at 8.21 leva today, while the bank's shares rose from 61.89 to 65.18 leva a piece.
Kaolin's unconvincing report lead to a sell-off on the position, which resulted in a weekly loss of 8.71% for to 11.43 leva/share.
Lead and Zinc Complex declined 7.01% to 40.59 leva, compared with a closing price at 43.65 leva last Friday.
