A total of 39 companies listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) have announced sa far that they will distribute dividend for 2007, the results of a check-up conducted by Profit.bg show.

The number of companies may grow as the general shareholders' meetings of many companies are yet to take place.

The shareholders of the other companies will also discuss the allocation of last year's profit but this by far does not guarantee dividend distribution.

Special purpose vehicles (SPV) make for one third of the companies that have announced the distribution of dividend so far.

A total of 56 public companies distributed dividend for 2006, including 13 SPVs.
