Svishtov-based Slancho Jsc booked 96,000 leva (49,100 euros) non-consolidated profit for the first quarter of 2008, compared to 225,000 leva (115,000 euros) profit posted for the year-ago period.

The operating revenue of the company totaled 813,000 leva (415,700 euros) in the first three months of 2008, down by 11.16% year on year. The decline may be put down to a decrease in the sales revenue and the revenue from the sales of services.

The business costs of the company stood at 708,000 leva (362,000 euros) in the first quarter of 2008, compared to 684,000 leva posted a year earlier.

A total of 1.041 mln leva (532,250 euros) were invested in the company in the period 1995-2007. Slancho Jsc is a manufacturer of baby and diet foods of the cereal type. The company also specializes in the processing of agricultural produce.

Slancho's issued capital amounts to 1.6 mln leva (818,000 euros), while the equity capital of the company stands at 2.519 mln leva (1.28 mln euros). Slancho plans a secondary public offering of shares on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, which will begin on June 4.

Major shareholders in the company include RM Resort Complex Buhovo, controlling 75.85% of the capital and Viktor Mikhailov with 19.7%.
