Unipharm Seeks Shareholder Approval To Distribute 2.0 Leva Gross Dividend per Share

The shareholders in Unipharm (UFM ) will hold a general meeting on July 22 to put to vote a proposal for the distribution of the company's profit.
Unipharm booked 524,360 leva (268,100 euros) profit for 2007 and has 6,418,744 leva (3.28 mln euros) retained profit profit from previous years. Thus the total sum amounts to 6,943,104 leva (3.55 mln euros). The project envisages 10% of the sum to be allocated to the Reserves, as well as the distribution of 1,000,000 leva as dividend (2 leva dividend per share). The remainder will be allocated for additional reserves.
If there is a lack of quorum, the meeting will be held on August 6, 2008 at the same place under the same agenda.
Trade in Unipharm's stock kicked off on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on May 26, 2008.
The final date for sealing deals in Unipharm's stock, which will enable the shareholders to exercise their voting rights at the meeting, is set for July 4, 2008.
Unipharm posted 1.222 mln leva (624,800 euros) net profit for the first quarter of 2008, compared to 1.488 mln leva (760,800 euros) profit compared to the year-ago period.
A total of 3,843 shares in the company changed hands on BSE today at an average price of 68 leva apiece.
