Alexander Tomov is no longer a member of Kremikovtzi's management, BGNES reports, citing sources within the steel-mill.

The decision for the dismissal of Tomov has been taken at a meeting of the company's Supervisory Board held June 5.

As you know on May 29 Tomov spent more than 2 hours inside the building of the National Investigation Service, where he was summoned for questioning.

Coal reserves worth 5 million leva are missing from State Reserves warehouses situated on the territory of the steel mill.

Tomov explained that the coal was not missing but there have been delays in the shipment of other materials and in the paperwork. The coal, in his words, was used during the period 2006 – 2007.

The Kremikovtzi sale will be sealed in 2-3 weeks, Tomov said. He pointed out that a major investor is expected to pour a lot of cash. More details will be disclosed after June 10, he promised. Some 25-30 mln euros has to be invested in environmental projects in order for the steel mill to obtain complex license.
