The SOFIX blue-chip index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), which ended yesterday's session unchanged, closed in negative territory today. The index slipped by 0.47% to 1,188.64 points.

The broader BG40 index also ended the day with a slight 0.07% loss to 326.02 points. The BGREIT and BGTR30 indexes advanced by 0.29% and 0.11%, to 96.10 and 805.91 points, respectively.

A total of 104 issues were traded on BSE today, while the daily turnover amounted to 5.27 mln leva. A total of 50% of the traded stocks ended the day with gains. The value of the block and other registered trades stood at 662,482 leva.

The number of advancing issues equaled that of the declining stocks within the SOFIX index. Toplivo was the only blue chip that was not traded today. The biggest decliners included Sparky Eltos (-5.85% to 12.06 leva per share) and Bulgarian American Credit Bank (BACB) (-5.48% to 60.52 leva per share). A total of 2,003 shares in Sparky changed hands today, while the trading volume on the position of BACB totaled 6,425 shares.

The stocks of Lead & Zinc Complex and Elana Agricultural Land Opportunity Fund REIT each lost over 2% today. Lead & Zinc's stock price declined by 2.13% to an average of 38.07 leva per share, while Elana's stock shed 2.61% to an average of 2.2 leva per share.

The consolidation on the position of Industrial Holding Bulgaria continues. Having advanced yesterday, the stock slipped by 1.63% to an average of 7.25 leva per share today.

A total of 2,990 shares in Kaolin traded hands today. The stock of the company depreciated by 1.01% to an average of 10.79 leva per share.

First Investment Bank (FIBank) shed 0.29% to an average of 7.2 leva per share. Central Cooperative Bank and Corporate Commercial Bank advanced by 1% and 0.19% to an average of 5.07 and 89.67 leva per share, respectively.

Orgachim's stock price went 0.09% down to 324.92 leva per share. M+S Hydraulic ended 0.91% lower at an average of 9.81 leva per share.

Holding Road's stock price increase coincided with today's news on the development of the company. The stock of the company added 1.37% to its value closing at 1,033.99 leva per share.

Euroins' premium income amounted to 31.04 mln leva in the first five months of the 2008, up 42% year on year, it emerged today. The stock of the insurance company appreciated by 0.25% to an average of 8.17 leva per share.

Albena's stock appreciated by 1.48% to an average of 88.29 leva per share. The shareholders of the company voted in favor of the distribution of 0.475 leva net dividend per share at a general meeting held on Saturday.

Neochim advanced by 4.2% to an average of 77.16 leva per share. Monbat's stock price rose by 0.38% to an average of 13.35 leva per share, while Chimimport closed 1.55% up at 9.85 leva per share.

After a series of declines Sopharma's stock ended today's session with gains. The stock price of the company went up by 3.27% to an average of 6 leva per share.
