BG40 Index Slips To One-Year Low
All four indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) posted losses in the first day of the week. Most of the liquid stocks were traded in thin volumes today.
BSE's trading turnover amounted to 6.59 mln leva on the day. The BG40 index of the most traded stocks booked the biggest decline among BSE's indexes. The index slipped by 0.4% to 295.84 points, a one-year low. The SOFIX blue-chip index skidded 0.3% lower to 1,111.93 points.
Lead & Zinc Complex was the biggest decliner among the actively traded stocks on the day. A total of 2,700 shares in the company traded hands today, while the stock depreciated by nearly 10% to an average of 28.11 leva per share. The stock traded as low as 26.5 leva per share.
Doverie United Holding was another big decliner today. The stock of the company shed 6.6% to an average of 6.78 leva per share. More than of 3,200 shares in the company changed hands on the day. Sopharma's stock price went down by 4.2% today.
Sparky Eltos slipped by 3.5% to 11.14 leva per share, while Orgachim's stock continued last week's trend depreciating by 1.5% to 265.42 leva per share today.
Industrial Holding Bulgaria was among BSE's advancers today. The stock of the company appreciated by 2.2% to 6.9 leva per share.
A total 415,000 shares in Central Cooperative Bank (CCB) changed hands on the day. The stock added 2.3% to its value closing at an average of 4.5 leva per share. The trade on the position of CCB accounted for nearly 25% of BSE's turnover on the day.
