Sofia (followed by Burgas and Varna) is the most expensive city in Bulgaria, according to the a research conducted by Industry Watch.

The average salaries in Sofia, Varna and Burgas are the highest in the countries. The difference between the three cities is slight.

The average wage in the second biggest city in Bulgaria – Plovdiv is 30% lower than in the three cities mentioned above. Blue collar jobs in Plovdiv are 20% lower than in Sofia.

Labor is cheapest in Vratza, Vidin and Montana. Those cities also have the lowest prices. 1 lev there purchases 40% more than in Sofia.

Sofia is the most expensive city according to the “cost of life index”, next are Burgas and Varna.
