Manager magazine will announce the Manager of the Year on October 8 at a special ceremony in Sofia University organized by Manager magazine and Deloitte Bulgaria, the magazine director Maya Bobeva said.

The winner will be selected among 10 nominees. Those are (in alphabetical order): Antony Hasiotis – Post Bank CEO and member of the board of directors, Valentin Trifonov – CEO Prista Oil, Dimitar Yanakiev – manager and owner of construction and investment Midia Jsc Burgas, Ivan Asenov – manager and owner HUS, Ivan Vasilev 0 TNT Bulgaria manager, Kiril Vatev – CEO and owner Tandem V, Lachezar Tsotsorkov – CEO Asarel Medet, Nikolaos Georgopoulos – CEO Drujba Glasswork, Nikola Dobrev – assistant professor doctor of sciences and CEO KCM S. A., Sasho Doncehv – executive director Overgas Inc.

The Manager of the Year contest is held in Bulgaria for the first time. 98 top managers participate in the contest, 86 men and 12 women. 10 are foreign citizens managing companies in Bulgaria.

33 of them manage companies in the sphere of manufacturing, 21 in the sector of services, 13 financial institutions, 16 firms from the IT sector and 9 merchants.

The youngest contestant is 30 years old and the oldest is 66 – both are in the final 10.

The winner will participate in the prestigious forum Leaders in London.

The final ten have been selected by Deloitte Bulgaria based on methodology especially designed for the contest. The candidates are evaluated based on 25 criteria. The methodology also requires the opinions of the candidates colleagues.
