Local indexes extended losses today. The BG40 index, which is made up of the most liquid companies on BSE, made its third biggest decline in history, closing at 213.49 points, or 6.08% down from opening. The previous two records were set in January (-8.41% and -6.32% in a single session).

The blue chips SOFIX fell 4.6% to 885.42 points. The last time the index was under 900 points was on July 20.

BGTR30 fell 4.11% to 583.51. BGREIT saw the smallest loss (-0.02%) and closed at 83.41 points.

BSE's turnover reached 6.04 mln leva (3.08 mln euros). OTC transactions amounted to nearly 938,000 leva. 110 stocks were traded today, 41 of which closed on positive turf.

Most stocks on the Official Market of Equities suffered serious losses. Industrial Holding Bulgaria (traded on Segment A) plunged 5.5% and the average price today stood at 5.39 leva.

The other holdings on that segment ended the day as follows:Albena Invest Holding (-2.78%, average price 8.51 leva), Stara Planina Hold (-4.8%, average 3.24 leva) and Synergon Holding (-1.11%, average 4.89 leva).

Sopharma dropped 10.33% to an average of 3.34 leva. Other companies with double digit losses are: Doverie United Holding (-13.86%, average 6.09 leva), Lead and Zinc Complex (-11.9%, average 22.38 leva) and Chimimport (-10.87%, average 6.34 leva).

Orgachim closed at 146 leva (9.32% down from opening). The average price today came to 143.77 leva).

Monbat depreciated by 3.68%. Investors traded the stock at an average of 10.7 leva today.

Gainers were a minority today. Among them were CCB (+4%, average 3.08 leva), Balgarska Roza Sevtopolis (4.62%, average 1.35 leva) and Bulgarian River Shipping Jsc (1.32%, average 3.76 leva).

Captain Diado Nikola shares depreciated by 18.61%. The average on the position slipped to 30.01 leva. EMKA stayed unchanged at 3.84 leva at a turnover of 80,872 shares.

Eurohold Bulgaria dipped under 4 leva. The stock lost some 8.23% , the average price today was 3.64 leva.

Polimeri fell 4.92% at a turnover of 22,726 shares traded at an average of 2.91 leva apiece.

FIBank also ended in the red (-3.9%, average 5.71 leva), Kaolin (-5.31%, average 5.3 leva) etc.

Industrial Capital Holding added 1.24% to 6.34 leva and Alcomet gained 1.8% at an average price of 5.58 leva today.
