Bulgarian indexes suffered serious losses this morning on bad international news and bad performance of US and Asian indexes, which fell close to three-year lows.

Minutes after trading started SOFIX was 8.2% down to 818.4 points – it's lowest level in more than two years.

The broad BG40 also suffered a serious slide, of nearly 6% to 195 points.

Chimimport was among the top decliners early this morning – the stock plunged 11.3% to 5.5 leva apiece. A transaction was made at 5.15 leva as well.

Orgachim is 10% down so far this morning to 121.05 points, while shares in Central and Cooperative Bank depreciated to 2.7 leva.

Lead and Zinc Complex fell 11.1% to 20 leva apiece.

Monbat lost 72% to 9.45 leva at a significant turnover of 22,500 shares.

Elma was among the few stocks in positive turf. Shares are up 15% so far this morning.

The negative sentiment on the local stock market may be attributed entirely to the unfavorable international situation. Dow Jones fell 449.36 points (4.06%) yesterday to 10 609.66.

On Monday the US blue-chips index dropped 504 points, which was its largest loss since September 2001. On Tuesday it added 141 points on FED's decision to keep interest rates unchanged.
