Equest Sells City Center Sofia For 101.5 Mln Euros

Equest Balkan Properties sold the City Center Sofia Mall in a 101.5 mln euro deal. The buyer if the American investment fund Heitman European Property Partners, Dow Jones reported yesterday.
The deal is expected to be finalized in two months. The local Commission for Protection of Competition has to give green light to the sale.
Equest bought the mall two years ago at a price tag of 94 mln euros. The seller was Stroytown – a company that has been linked to businessman Rumen Gaytanski. The mall is attracting more than seven million visitors a year.
The company had recently said that the sale consultants Cushman and Wakefield have selected the best buyer candidates and that none of them had business in Bulgaria.
A few days ago, Equest announced it is investing 45 mln euors in a business park in Romania. Construction is expected to kick off soon.
