The SOFIX blue-chip index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) posted its fourth straight decline today. The sell-offs on BSE continued throughout the day, while the sentiment was not in line with that of the European capital markets which recovered part of their losses today.

BSE's all four indexes ended today's session on negative territory. The SOFIX blue-chip index slipped further under the 700-point mark after shedding 4.92% to 654.42 points today.

The BG40 index of the most traded stocks on BSE lost 3.63% closing the day at 165.26 points.

The BGREIT index skidded 3.04% lower to 68.78 points. The BGTR30 index of best performers in total return shed 4.08%, to 436.94 points.

BSE's overall turnover continued to increase today reaching almost 7.9 mln leva. The value of the over-the-counter deals amounted to 3.23 mln leva as at 3:00 p.m.

A total of 113 issues were traded today with 27 of the stocks closing higher.

Stara Planina Hold's stock price continued to decline today. The stock of the company depreciated by 9.33%, to 2.42 leva per share. A total of 42 771 shares in the company changed hands today, while the average price of the stock settled at 2.4 leva per share.

Synergon Holding managed to recover part of yesterday's losses. The stock price of the company went up by 5.16% to 3.85 leva per share. The total trading turnover on the position came to 15 782 shares with an average price of 3.87 leva per share.

Petrol's stock depreciated by 2.03%, to 7.25 leva in thin trade. The stock of the company advanced by 31.96%, to 7.4 leva per share yesterday.

M+S Hydraulic was the biggest decliner among BSE's blue chips today. The stock of the company shed 16% of its value closing at 6.3 leva per share. The trading turnover on the position amounted to 50 607 shares, while the average price of the stock settled at 6.31 leva per share.
First Investment Bank's stock price went up today after the recent declines. The stock of the bank added 2.97% to its value closing at 3.30 leva per share. A total of 548 627 shares in the company changed hands on the day at an average price of 3.03 leva apiece. A total of 100,000 and 262,000 shares in the bank changed hands in two transactions today, respectively.

The other banks failed to perform in line with FIBank today. Corporate Commercial Bank's stock depreciated by 7.49%, to 74 leva per share after 10,295 shares traded. Central Cooperative Bank posted a 9.61-percent decline in the stock price, to 2.35 leva per share. BACB posted the biggest decline among the lenders today. The stock of the bank closed 11.5% lower at 29 leva per share. A total of 423 shares in the company traded hands on the day.
