Eight General Insurers Lose Market Share in A Year
A total of eight of the 19 insurance companies operating in the general insurance sector in Bulgaria lost market share as at July 2008, a check-up conducted by Profit.bg based on data from the Financial Supervisiojn Commission (FSC) shows.
Those included: Bulins (from 11.78% to 9.56% market share), Generali Insurance (from 5.94% to 3.94% ) and DZI – General Insurance (from 14.14% to 13.02%).

Armeec posted the biggest increase in market share as at July 2008 in the general insurance segment. The market share of the company rose from 6.8% to 9.13% in a year.
Bustrad ranked second in terms of biggest market share growth. The company occupied 17.14% of the general insurance market as at July 2008, compared to 16.06% a year earlier.
Euroins occupied the number three spot with a market share increase in the from 4.49% to 5.39%.
