Тhe indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) ended today's session in negative territory, in line with the sentiment on the European capital markets. The benchmark indexes of 15 of the 17 stock exchanges in Western Europe that were open for trading were down earlier today.

The SOFIX blue-chip index slipped to under the 600-point mark in the early session to close at 598.51 points, down 1.07 % for the day.

The SOFIX closed below the 600-point mark for the second time this month after October 10 when it ended the session at 585.39 points. These are the lowest levels since November 16, 2004, when the SOFIX closed at 598.5 points.

The BG40 index slipped by 1.33%, to 159.13 points. The BGREIT slumped by 6.89% to 57.19 points, while the BGTR30 declined by 2.52%, to 410.8 points.

BSE's overall turnover came to nearly 2.84 mln leva, while the value of the over-the-counter deals amounted to 2.62 mln leva as at 15:00 p.m. A total of 102 issues were traded today, while only 20 of the stocks advanced.

Most of the companies traded on Segment A of BSE's Official market posted losses today. Albena Invest Holding's stock depreciated by 5.85%, to 6.12 leva.

A total of 17 588 shares in Industrial Holding Bulgaria traded hands on the day, while the market capitalization of the company declined by 3.06%, to 3.97 leva per share.

The banks listed for trade on BSE ended the day mixed. A total of 129 855 shares in First Investment Bank changed hands on the day. The stock depreciated by 4.02%, to 3.84 leva per share.

The prices of Corporate Commercial Bank's stock remained unchanged at 70 leva per share. The trading volume on the position came to 8 194 shares.

Central Cooperative Bank's stock lost 0.98% of its value, to 2.11 leva per share. Bulgarian American Credit Bank advanced by 2.33% to 22 leva per share after 1 106 shares traded.

Some of today's biggest decliners included Svilosa (-15.47%, to 1.18 leva per share) and Polimeri (-11.88%, to 2.16 leva per share).

Two of the infrastructure companies traded on BSE ended the day in negative territory. Moststroy's stock depreciated by 12.55%, to 8.92 leva per share. Trace Group Hold slipped by 0.87%, to 54.10 leva per share. No deals were sealed on the position of Holding Roads on the day.
