SOFIX Losses 31.75% of Its Value in October

The SOFIX blue-chip index slumped by 8.44% to 548.02 points today, while the broader BG40 index declined by 5.98% to 149.62 points. BG TR30 ended the day 6.38% lower at 384.61 points, while the BG REIT advanced by 0.28% to 57.35 points.
The SOFIX shed 11.39% of its value on a weekly basis, while the BG40 dropped by 10.15%. The BG REIT declined by 8.39% in the last five sessions and BG TR30 shed 10.36% for the week.
All four indexes post losses since the beginning of the month. The SOFIX has declined by 31.75%, the BG40 has lost 24.66%, the BG REIT has slipped by 26.71%, while the BG TR30 has shed 27.73%.
BSE's daily turnover amounted to 5.1 mln leva today, while the value of the over-the-counter deals came to 1.02 mln leva as at 14:55 p.m. A total of 96 issues were traded on the day, with 11 of the companies posting gains.
Only two of the companies included in the calculation of the BG40 index posted weekly stock price increases. The average price of the stock of Doverie United Holding went up by 9.03% - from 6.09 leva to 6.64 leva per share.
Oil & Gas Exploration and Production's stock appreciated by 2.04 to 5 leva per share in the period October 17-24.
Some of the losers for the week included Billboard (-1.23% to 4.01 leva per share), KTB (-1.52% to 70 leva per share) and Bulgarian Holding Company (-1.96% to 3 leva per share). Moststroy's stock price slumped by 22.98% for the week to an average price of 8.18 leva per share.
Favorit Hold ended the week 20% down at 5.52 leva per share, while Lead & Zinc Complex's stock has depreciated by 18.55% to an average of 14.23 leva per share.
