SOFIX Posts Seventh Straight Decline Today

The SOFIX blue-chip index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) shed 2.19%, to 501.87 points today ending lower for the seventh straight day. The BG40 index of the most traded stocks on BSE slipped by 0.38%, to 145.66 points.
The SOFIX and the BG40 have lost 36.67% and 26.65% of their value, respectively, since the beginning of the month.
More than 62,000 shares in Chimimport changed hands today. The stock depreciated by more than 5%, to 2.84 leva per share., while Sopharma and Holding Roads lost 1.59 and 4.01%, to 2.17 and 9.10 leva per share, respectively.
Synergon Holding's stock price slumped by more than 16% to 2.71 leva per share, while Industrial Holding Bulgaria and Albena Invest Holding lost 6.62% and 0.96%, to 2.85 and 5.45 leva per share, respectively.
Banking stocks ended the day mixed. Central Cooperative Bank skidded 9.28% lower to 1.27 leva per share, while First Investment Bank advanced moderately by 0.45%, to 3.79 leva per share. Corporate Commercial bank's stock price remained unchanged.
A total of 210 000 shares changed hands on the position of Orgachim, while the stock appreciated by 1.81%, to 99.78 leva per share.
Sparky Eltos and Eurohold Bulgaria were also among today's winners advancing by 1.08 and 1.68%, to 3.74 and 2.30 leva per share.
Bulgarian River Shipping and Hydroizomat posted unusual declines today. Bulgarian River Shipping's stock depreciated by 28.54%, to 2.00 leva per share, while Hydroizomat ended the day 23.31 lower at 1.34 leva per share. Zlatni Pyasatsi slumped by 30%, to 2.80 leva per share.
